Problem Installing .NET Framework 2.0 (x86)

I just downloaded the latest packaged from Microsoft, and when I try to
install it, the wizard tells me that I need to uninstall the ".NET Framework
2.0 SDK Beta" that I have installed...I go to Add/Remove programs and see
that I have ".NET Framework 1.0", ".NET Framework 1.1", and ".NET Framework
2.0 SDK Beta" installed, so I try to remove the 2.0 SDK Beta entry, and the
UNINSTALL FAILS, telling me I need to uninstall ".NET Framework 2.0" to
continue...

So the 2.0 (x86) install tells me to remove the SDK Beta, and the SDK Beta
uninstall tells me to remove the 2.0 (x86)??? I've tried the method noted
here: (http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archi...16/408856.aspx) for
manually removing a .NET 2.0 install, but to no avail.

Anyone have suggestions?
