Problem installing Windows XP Service Pack 3

I've tried to install XP SP3 but get the error "The expected version of the
product was not found on your system." This is the case with both the
....client-enu.exe and the ...fullfile-enu.exe versions.

None of the MS help screens seem to offer a solution that works. I have not
(knowingly!) downloaded any previous version.

The original problem started when Outlook stopped loading yahoo e-mails -
error 0x8004210A appears. The e-mail interface used to work, and I am
wondering if there is a clash with Norton or some other software.

All help gratefully received - I've wasted probably 3 or 4 hours on this!

there is no XP service pack 3 make sure your service pack is for XP not for
W2k
