Problem with KB938979 Update

Hello Everyone,

Ive been having a problem with the KB938979 update for several days and
was hoping one of you would be able to help. Basically after downloading
and installing the KB938979 update for x64 Vista and restarting i come
back to having no internet at all, the network services have failed to
start. If i uninstall the update and restart everything is back to
normal. I read somewhere that replacing the tcpip.sys would fix this but
nothing changed when i did that. I am running Vista x64 Ultimate, any
help is appreciated. Thanks!

well uninstall the update and then hide it from appearing in windows update.

I'd like to have the update.. as it is a big preformance update.

Sounds like if the upgrade disables your network and stops the services,
then it's NOT a big performance update !
