problem with lacie 1tb nas

i have lacie 1tb(2X500gb) nas drive..recently it was not working..im
unable to detect any drive.so i opened NAS and removed 2 hard
drives(seagate one).now i want to use those indiviual hard drives as
external one keeping them in seperate encloser. i bought one encloser
and when i connected encloser(with one 500gb drive) to my vista system
the drive is showing in disk management but iam unable to access that.
can some one help me to use them as external usb drives?

What does "unable to access" mean exactly? What happens when you try? In
Disk Management, is the USB-connected drive assigned a drive letter? Does
the USB-connected drive show up in another computer? Did you remember to
set the drive inside to Master if it is IDE (as opposed to SATA)?
