I believe there was some issue in the last batch of updates. I had until this
point automatic instal and I was ok with that.
Problems with IE7 (yes it is beta) but no problems until last update.
Outlook express, Latest Messenger, and system restore.
All these programs had an error and needed to close.
Every time I tried to use them.
I did a reboot, then system restore worked, and now I work fine.
I have lost a bit of faith in the automatic update scheme!
Does anyone know what happened??
I am
xp pro, fully updated until day before yesterday.

Asked/Answered elsewhere.

If you install the updates again and the problems persist, please post the
full error messages you're getting.
