      02-18-2008

K this is getting frusturating.
i download huge files thats like 4 GB and stuff no now every time i try
o unrar it it says files corrupt.
this is too annoying. i know this is not a vista problem. but any help
here??

How about re-downloading ?

4Gigs of Data.. I bet it's a full Linux OS ;-)

If it's happening with several files perhaps its the application you are
using to extract them? I used to use Allzip for example but it seemed to
have issues with some files, so I got 7-zip which has been problem free
so far.

Are you downlaoding the associated PAR files as well? Then use a program
like Quick Par to repair the corrupt RAR files. Heres a pretty good link
for more information.

if you are downloading them to an external drive or secondary internal drive
that is formated with FAT
then you must know that fat can handle up to 4 gb

Ntfs is the way to go....
