Problem with regional settings

Dear,

a part of the organisation I work for (about 500 users) was moved to Vista
last week. Nevertheless the tests we did conduct, one issue did come up
after the migration: one application does need EN-US as regional settings,
while most of the ofther applications do need Dutch-Belgium.
The issue is that with the particular application, if you type oct (standing
for october), it changes to okt (oktober -> october in Dutch).
Is there a way that one particular application can run with different
regional settings, or would there be an other possible solution for this?

Yes, we do have a utility, named Microsoft AppLocale Utility to let you set
different locale settings for particular applications. However, this
utility is not officially supported and may not work well for some
particular applications.

I would suggest that you build a test environment to try it out. If you
encounter any problems, you should stop using it. Before you try, please
read the following article and related documents in detail:

Additionally, this tool is just for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. If
you want to use it on Windows Vista, you should do some additional steps.

As I mentioned previously, you should build a test environment for this
utility, as both of the utility and the workaround are not officially
supported by Microsoft. Do not try to install this utility on any working
PC directly before you can make sure that it can work well.
