problem with Search

I have Vista Home Premium and Windows Live Mail Dutch version
My problem : when I try to perform a search in My Inbox and as a parameter I
use "message received BEFORE" a given date, the search returns all messages
AFTER this date !
Anyone knows anything about this ?
