Problem with service pack 2 setup

When i try to install sp2, in setup it stops responding and automatically
restarts, no errors, then it returns to its prior configurations,after that a
message comes up saying that the system is unstable and to remove sp2 from
add/remove list but there is no sp2 in there. Can anyone help me, i tried it
like 10 times! and i cant install it. Please thank you.
