Seems that this didn't go through - sorry if it shows twice.

I had problems with WinMail so now I am using Thunderbird for mail. I can
not get Thunderbird to set up news servers. I tried to set up the MS
Communities and also my Roadrunner server - I know the Roadrunner server
name and default port are correct - but every time I click on Manage - I get
an error that says "Failed to connect to server news-server.satx.rr.com".
Default port is 119. I am using Windows Vista home. Any help would be
appreciated. Right now I am getting newsgroups through WinMail (that is
what works in WinMail) and mail through Thunderbird and I would like to only
have to use one program.

That's twice you posted this where it does not really belong.

For help with Mozilla products go to the Mozilla help groups please.

There is no need to get upset. I am running Vista - not sure where the
problem is. I have it set up already - it just won't connect. I have
posted in Mozilla and no one anywhere can give any suggestions. i am trying
to find an answer. Are you 100% sure that it doesn't have something to do
with a compatibilty between Thunderbird and Vista. I just need some help
from somewhere - surely someone has seen the problem before.

Hey dumbass, she is a VISTA user, you are supposed to help VISTA users
and you do not yet know if this is a VISTA problem or not, do you? If
you had a clue what the problem was (unlikely to say the least) and
could tell her for sure it is NOT VISTA that too would be helpful. If it
turns out NOT a VISTA problem then trying to be helpful would be a +
mark for the MS newsgroups, instead you go out of your way, like others
here, to create an unhelpful atmosphere. There's not much point in MS
providing peer help groups that are decidedly unhelpful at best and
downright rude in some cases...

The thing that "Doesn't belong" is your attitude.
