problem with sound blaster install

my mom downloaded sound blaster that wasnt designed forn windows xp pro. now
when she goes to start her computer after she tries to log on it freezes and
makes a continuous beeping sound. if we get to the desktop it shuts down in a
couple of seconds. is there a way i can remove this in safe mode with control
prompts or something? if you have a cure email me at
