Problem with SP2 update on Athlon 64

Hello,

I just tried updating my Windows XP Professional from SP1 to SP2. I
downloaded the update, went through the full installation process and
everything seemed fine. However, as soon as the computer restarted and loaded
with SP2 for the first time, my computer suddenly spontaneously restarted.
After I saw the BIOS startup screen, I only see a hanging blinking cursor on
the top left corner...and then nothing else happens (Hard drive light is
off..so no HDD activity). I turned it off, and turned it on again. Same thing
happens. Can someone please offer me some help?
