Problem trying make Windows forget folder settings as a default

I have purchased a Windows Vista license a short time ago and I have some
difficulties with the folder option of remembering each folder settings. I
have unset this option but Windows Vista still continues remembering the
situation I leave each folder.
What I would like is that all the folders were always initialized to a
default, even a default for each kind of folder (I just wouldn't like
Windows to store individual data for each folder).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Paulo

Hi Shawn,

Thank you, but it didn't work...
In fact the first thing I tried to do was exactly this and the Windows Vista
Vista behavior didn't change (the version I am using is Home Premium).
Than I looked for some information in the web, and I found something about
changing the register keys Bags and BagMru (in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Shell and also in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows//ShellNoRoam). I have deleted
them, restored them, changed, restored again... and nothing worked.

Thanks again,

Paulo

I have this problem too but I didn't post about it as it is a minor bug.
For some reason Windows Explorer will decide to display a folder using the
Pictures and Videos template for a directory containing only documents. It
is seemly random, but I've never delve much into it. I usually just go in
manually and change columns or change templates on my own. Minor but
annoying.

Also Windows Vista will randomly highlight apps I've already used as being
newly installed under All Programs. It doesn't always unhighlight when I do
use it, or highlight shifts to another app in the list. Sometimes... most
of the time, it even acts normally and I can start an app and it
unhighlights. Again minor... annoyance.
