Problem with Update rollup 1 Win2k SP4

I checked add/remove programs and it shows the update is installed. But
windows update keeps showing that it needs to be installed. I tried
uninstalling and re-installing but windows update stills shows it needs to be
installed. How do I fix windows update to show the update is installed?

Hi,

Sometimes, if MDAC and/or MSXML 4 is not up to date, Windows Update/
Automatic Update doesn't see the Rollup 1 as installed:

In the thread in the link above Dave Hawley mentioned that the problem
seemed to be caused by

which needed to be upgraded to SP2.

He found this from running MBSA 1.2.1
