Problem with updates!!

Two days ago window defender popped up that I had updates that I did not want
to update right away, but it shutdown and restarted my computer on it's own
and ever since then I cannot use my mozilla firefox browser and IE doesn't
work properly. I have no idea how to fix this problem. Any help you can
give me would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!
