Hi there all you Vista users,

Been using Vista Home Premium 64-bit for a couple of months now, and
until now all has been ok.

I upgraded from Windows 98; on my old PC I, happily, used
Ipswitch's WS_FTP95 to upload images to store on my webspace.

I've downloaded the evaluation copy of WS_FTP Home prior to purchasing
it.
However, I'm unable to get onto my webspace.
I'm receiving the following Connection Log after each connection
failure.

Finding Host uploads.webspace.freeserve.net ...

I've contacted Ipswitch who offer technical support only after purchase
of their software. They, kindly, replied and suggested it could be a
problem with the 64-bit Vista.

I've also emailed my ISP; I've received an acknowledgment from them and
will, hopefully, get a full reply in due course.

In the meantime, if any Vista expert has any idea as to why I have this
problem and what I could try and do to resolve it, suggestions involving
running XP instead are not welcome, I'd really like to hear from
you!!

Many thanks, in advance,

Carol

No idea.....but I've also tried running, unsuccessfully, SmartFT

Yes. Other factors may prevent a program from running, but the fact it is
compiled for 32bits is not one of them.
