Problem with Vista Windows Update /Failed driver install

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help on this one. I am running Vista Ultimate with
among other hardware, a Logitech Quickcam Pro3000 webcam. It is not natively
supported (not a problem at the mo, as manufacturers will get their drivers
out eventually), however, Windows Update reports a driver available for it
yet it fails to install from MS with an error code of 700082. I have looked
up the error and tried the solution on the support pages (ie: stop update
service, delete files in windows\softwaredistribution folder and restart
update service) but still no joy. Is there a way around this such as download
the file directly for local manual installation or is there another solution?
