problem w/ install of winxp security update(KB835732)

iv installed & reinstalled winxp security update(KB835732)
god knows how many times but win-update keeps naggin me
sayin that i "still" need 2 install this thing!

win-update install history confirms my "numerous
successful" installs of this very patch but whenever win-
update scans my pc it shows up as needing 2 install!

guess maybe its not taking and when i reboot it loses the
patch..maybe??

anyway...can anyone "hook a brutha up"??
id appreciate it greatly!

I have had nothing but problems with KB835732, however I cannot get it to
install. It downloads just fine, however the installation, no matter how long
I wait (have given it up to 3 hours) will not complete. Your problem sounds
similiar, however all the rest of the Windows updates have install and
continue to install with the exception of this one. Hopefully someone will
take notice and let us know what we are not doing correct.

I spent weeks trying to resolve this exact same issue but to no avail.
Finally, I turned to Microsofts online support. You can access that link from
the update page. They were prompt in responding and helped to resolve the
issue. They ultimately provided me with a zip file and a .bat file which
needed to be installed in safe mode. I recommend doing the same.
