I installed this update on all my w2k servers (total of 8) and all went fine
except for one. The PC is a domain controller also used as file/print
server. The update installed but after reboot the automatic updates icon
still shows the update needs to be installed. I checked add/remove programs
and it shows the update is installed. I tried uninstalling reboot reinstall
reboot but auto upd still shows that it needs to be installed. Using WSUS
for the update. Do not have this problem with any other W2K server or pro.
How to I fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Could you please check if msxml3.dll and msxml3r.dll in the
%windir%\System32\ folder does not have a file size of 0 bytes.

If they are, you can e.g. copy the original files back from the
DllCache folder (%windir%\System32\Dllcache\, hidden folder).

System32 has both files: msxml3.dll (1146KB) and msxml3r.dll (43KB).
