Problem with Whiteboard in Live Messenger

I have not been able to activate the Whiteboard feature in Live Messenger in
spite of trying several machines and several configurations. I understand
that there may be a router problem in that a router port must be established
to handle the whiteboard feature, but that does not seem to make a
difference.

Is this a common problem? Any suggested solutions?

Have no Whiteboard in Vista at all. And have an error in 2k3, it says that I
have to update my messanger, but I have 8.5

Greetings Pavel,

The Whiteboard feature is only available on Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP. It is not
available on Vista.

All that's required is that UPnP is engaged in the router (and naturally the router needs to
support UPnP). After that, it should simply work.

You cannot make it work by just doing port forwarding.
