Problem with Windows Live Messenger - Vista, cant find the program

Hey guys

I have this serious problem that has been ****ing me of for the pas
few days. So here is my scenario

I first sucessfully installed windows live messenger, with windows liv
installer and it worked, i saw the icon of messenger and i could log in
but i kept on getting this error. So i though it had something to d
with that i was running Vista or something, so i decided to uninstall i
which i did. And then i then i downloaded an older version thinking i
would work, but then i got the message that a new version was allread
installed on the PC. So what i did was to look into the controll pane
to see if the software was still there and it wasn´t, so i tried to fin
it manually and nothing

So now, what do i do to remove it? i tried the run option that there i
on the web and on this forum, but it doesn´t work.

Help is much appreciated to solve this problem

Hi I'm also having the same problem with trying to install an older version
of WLM after uninstalling the Beta version. I've uninstalled it, but
everytime I try and install another version, be it older or the same, it
keeps telling me I already have it installed or need to uninstall the newer
version before installing this one. What do I do. It's not visible on my
system, but clearly still there;
