Hi everybody,

I installed Windows 7 a few days ago. Eveything seems OK except for Windows
Media Player V 12, which doesn't seem to be able to play mpeg files.
However, it can play DVD and AVI, WMV files.

These mpeg video files cannot either be played with Media Center, but are
played OK with another player I downloaded, VLC.

Is it "normal" ? Should WMP normally play such files? Should I download some
kind of extra plug-in? If so, is there any free plug-in available?

Or, do I have a problem with Windows Media Player on my PC? If so, is it
possible to reinstall Win Media Player 12 my PC running Windows 7?

many thks in advance for your kind help.

with best regards,

Daniel

Here is what WMP 12 supports. DVD decoder is included.
