Problem with You tube

Brand new Laptop with windows vista IE7 installed. If I type www.Youtube.com
into my browswer I cannot get it to load. In additon I am writing an on line
book using a new software program - and I Have several youtube videos in this
book - that are displayed by using the embedded code - but while I can see
these videos on my dell laptop -- I only see a blank space when I view the
same post on my new Laptop with windows vista.
I think that there is something blocking youtube on this laptop - anyone
that can help me - it would be appreciated.

you may well have Vista>IE7 set to block content that does not play in an
external player...
do you have show animations in web pages checked?

YouTube relies only on JavaScript and Flash.

IE7 defaults to allow JS, but you need to download Flash.

what version of Flash do you have installed?

YouTube is very nice as it works with Flash 7/8/9
