Problems with accessing this newsgroup

Is anyone else having problems accessing this newsgroup? I had been
accessing it from the Vista website with IE 7. For the past two days or so,
I have found that, using IE 7, I can read the posts, but I cannot sign in,
post a reply or edit my profile. At some points, the page asks for and
accepts my password, but nothing ever happens after that. This time, I have
fired up Windows Mail, and it remains to be seen whether I can post by that
route.

Do you have a pop-up blocker program installed on your computer? Or do you
have a toolbar installed that has pop-up blocker functionality? Try
disabling these, and just use IE's pop-up blocking function. If this is not
the case, try adding the site www.microsoft.com as an allowed site by going
to Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker Settings.

Of course, the above is only relevant if you use IE to read the newsgroup.

That is not the problem. No pop-up blocker but IE 7. IE 7 pop-up blocker
still set up the same way as when I first looked at these newsgroups, i.e.,
windowshelp.microsoft.com listed as an allowed site.

We are all very happy for you.

I have found two other threads on other Community newsgroups where people
raised the same problem. No one has come up with an answer.

Does anyone from Microsoft monitor these posts? My guess is that there is a
problem with the code on the website. I have seen an error message re
something on page "null or not an object."

I just discovered that the IE interface still works for me from the
following website:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...&lang=en&cr=US

I've never had trouble accessing the newsgroups--I use Thunderbird which
works well for me. Have you ever tried it? It's a Mozilla application.

i too have just developed this problem. i've been using the ie7 interface
for ms communities
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com.../default.mspx?
for months and have had little problem with it (and a vista reinstall
eliminated even that little problerm). but now, i experience the identical
symptoms you have delineated; i cannot post, reply or sign in. i am writing
now through windows mail. not a big deal - worse things can happen - but
sometimes windows mail does not operate either!

I am also having the same issue, couldn't post through the Microsoft
Discussions site with either IE or Firefox. New install of Vista,
getting the same problems.
