After installng service pack 2 I have noticed taht my SB Live 5.1 soundcard
keeps dropping off. (my system no longer sees it!) I have contacted creative
about this with no success, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.
No luck! I can only conclude that it is SP2 that is causing this. I have even
reloaded my OS. Has anyone else had this issue come up?

You have uninstalled and installed the drivers.
Am I assuming to much to think you have the latest Windows XP sound drivers?
If not go to Creative and get them.
