since i installed my SP2 update, there are problems with resolution - cannot
set it to what it was set to previously, and i can no longer view DVD, so the
service pack must have affected my graphics card in some way. has anybody
encountered similar problems?

worried, m

Have you updated your video card with the latest drivers that are SP2
compatible?

see thats the trouble - that won't work. i have removed old drivers just in
case, and tried installing them again, and that process cannot be completed.
i am told that there is an incompatibility problem, even when i try and
dowlnoad the drivers from the website. i really am at my wits' end.

What incompatibility problem? Both NVIDIA, Intel and ATI (the most
prevalent video card providers) all have new drivers available for SP2
compatibility.

thanks for the reply.

yes i know they do, but when i try to install the drivers, i'm told that the
process cannot be completed because the driver is incompatible with my
hardware - which is not very likely, really, is it?!

cheers, m

all. The only sound on the computer at all is when I play windows media
player. I have been surching for help with this all day long and I have
gotten no where but I need the sp2 to run alot of stuff like itunes.

Visit the manufacturer's web site for your sound device, download the latest
driver for your sound device, install the software.
