in the Edit Channel provision, I deselected 47-1 and 21-1. There were no
signals for 10-1 and 12-1. Next, in the Edit Channel provision I deselected
10-1 and 12-1. Rebooted. This left me with the three channels for which I
have no issue. I ran the TV signal set up procedures and also downloaded the
latest copy of the Guide. I then reselected 12-1, resulting in no signal.
Then reselected 10-1 with the same result. After selecting 47-1 and 21-1, I
was back to my original situation: to receive signals on 10-1 and 12-1, I had
to use a two-step process, or selecting 47-1 and 21-1 respectively.

Since you reran setup for your Zip code instead of just adding one of the
channels in each problem channel pair to the guide you had working with the
3 channels as I suggested I am not surprised that you got the same result
that you had before.

When you say "delete" a channel. What, specifically, are the steps for doing
that? I ask because perhaps removing a check mark from a box is not what you
had in mind. The Guide lists the "deleted" channel, but shows "no data
available". No signal is received for such a channel.

I do not use the guide so I don't know the details of adding or deleting
channels from the available channels list.
I was trying to get you to add one channel from each of the channel pairs
that you got with the setup that only showed the 3 local channels.
Another possibility is try using as Zip code that is close enough to Medford
to get the the 5 Medford channels but which is no longer in range of the
other conflicting ABC and CBS network channels.
