Problems with creating sharing folders

When i try and create a sharing folder i receive a message stating that "Your
computer does not support Sharing Folders."

I am using Windows XP and Windows Live Messenger 8.0.

Does anyone have any ideas as Microsoft have been utter USELESS!!!

It will most probably be because your computer is using the wrong type
of file system. Sharing Folders use the NTFS system, and my guess would
be you're using FAT32. Use the instructions given here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307881 to convert to NTFS.

Ok, so im nearly through converting to NTFS, but i get stuck when it asks for
the volume label for drive C:

any suggestions?

Give it any descriptive name of your choosing. It really doesn't matter.
