Hi,

I randomly get problems deleting folders from my PC...It just wont allow me
to do it in some instances....But if I go into the folder and drill further
in & delete step by step..everything works okay & will then allow me to
delete the primary folder.

Why does that happen & can I fix it?

It depends on which folder you are talking about
It could be any number of reasons but the main one is a file is in us
by another program and so can not be deleted or a permission problem

Just another long standing "bug" Microsoft has never fixed in Windows.
For no particular reason you sometimes need to delete a folder's files
before you can delete the folder. Probably a throw back to DOS.

When my hubby Ringmaster finds a bug in his computer,
he just opens the case and sprays it with RAID!

I file could be in use is a sub-folder that's preventing the primary
folder from being deleted is most likely what is happening. So you have
to go to sub folders and delete files out of the folder, delete the sub
folder working your way back to the primary folder.

I've forgot more about Windows than the idiots that hang out here will
ever know. You for example. Windows going back several versions has
ALWAYS refused (randomly) to delete a folder IF sub folders or files
were in them. Mattered not if the file was in use, open or any of the
other half-ass excuses you came up with. I know that from something
you don't have EXPERIENCE. I've seen it happen hundreds of times when
moving large numbers of files around which I do constantly. My advice
to you, same as Frank. Go suck an egg. It might keep you occupied for
awhile instead of coming across as a damn fool.

Sure you have...and that explains why you can't get one little install
of Vista Business to run properly.

You for example.

WTF does that mean?

Bullshit! If nothing was using, (program or service) any file then all
could be deleted. This is just another example of your stupidity and
incompetence that we've all come to recognize.
Face it mr gotemeyer, you're an idiot!

My advice

cause you're a wreck just waiting to happen!...LOL!
