problems getting out of sleep mode !!!!!!!!!

I have a HP Computer with windows Vista, I have the Properties settings on
balanced energy savings and the screensaver to go on after 1hour, once it
goes into screensaver mode if I CLICK IT RIGHT AWAY it will start up but if
some time has elapsed andit goes ino the sleep mode, and then I click the
mouse the screen just stays dark
although at the top I can see a line of the desktop that is selected. How do
I rectify this?????

If a subsequent click restores the screen, then check your 'Turn off the
display' settings in Power Options > Edit Plan Settings

If it still stays dark after a subsequent click or flick of the mouse, then
try a different screen saver. Perhaps that particular one is freezing up.
