Hello there,

For the users having problems with IE6 and IE 7 after updating KB942615.

Apply the regfix and reboot you should not have crashes or connection
problem anymore.

Best regards,
Michel Denie

Is that taken from KB942367 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942367
Then it does NOT apply to Internet Explorer 7.
I did not read it as .reg files are blocked from downloading,
Change it to .txt so someone can read it first then they can apply .reg if
desired.

Hi there,

The KB number is included in KB942615FIX.reg name: so the answer to both
your questions is no.

I just downloaded the regfix file I uploaded here,so I think you have some
settings blocking the download because from here it works 100%.

Best regards,

Yes, it is after looking into the details.

Correct.

Pardon? FEATURE_PROTECT_DECOMPRESSION_FILTER_FROM_ABORT_KB 942367 is described
in MSKB article KB942367. So the answer is yes, and since KB942367 does *not*
apply for IE7, you obviously ment to answer "so the answer to both your
questions is *YES*".

Bye,
Freudi

Hm, while I'm somewhat confused on *how* you made the registry fix other
than using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942367 as source, ...

Nice sunday,
Freudi

Michel,

You're missing the inital "[" in that registry patch (just before
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE)...

The patch on Freudi's site is fine (and he includes a removal patch):
http://patch-info.de/IE/Downloads/IE..._dll-Crash.zip
