Problems with images in Word

Since loading XP Service Pack 2 (and now Service Pack 3 today) Word does not
operate properly with inserting images. As soon as I scroll just a tiny bit
down the page the image disappears it also does not show in print preview. I
have tried numerous solutions and even re-installed Word but the problem is
still there. Any ideas please before I throw the computer out the window!!

Hate to be a pain but Service Pack 3 is not officially released by Microsoft.
The version you have is probably full of bugs and has caused this. See if you
can get rid of Service Pack 3.

Thank you for replying but the problem happened after I downloaded Service
Pack 2. I have to say I downloaded Office XP Service Pack 3 (that's what
they call it) from Microsoft Office Update today so it came from the right
place. After days of tearing my hair out I found a similar thread and It was
my graphics accelerator which I have now reduced and the images appear to
stay put. Thanks anyway for your help
