Hello

I´ve installed new XP Prof SP2. Normally after installation I go to
update.microsoft.com and update to SP3 and all possible hardware, software
and windows updates. But if I try to open the update page after few minutes
I get the error message that the pages could not found.
I tested several times the day. Nothing happen. But know at GMT+1 time 11 pm
or later I get a answer.
Same on my laptop. Updated from SP2 (older installation) to SP3 (by file).
Now late in the evening in germany I get answer from the page.
If I try the same with my old computer (still SP2 withe IE8) all is OK.
Getting answer the whole day from the page.

Can anybody tell me what is the reason? SP3?
Why at works now, late in the evening?

Thanks Thomas

Had WinXP been installed on this machine before the "new install"? If so,
did you do a Repair Install or a clean install? What problems were you
having that you thought a reinstall would resolve?

HOW TO get a computer running WinXP SP1(a) or SP2 fully patched

WinXP has been installed before, but it was a clean installation. So nothing
to repair!
