Problems with the MS06-015 Bulletin

We are experiencing problems with the update corresponding to the bulletin
MS06-015 which second version was published yesterday.

The Windows Update service does not download this update but other one
(unknow for us) outlined in the article KB900485 of date January 6.

Nevertheless the notification of the of e-mail list has been received and
the web site of the bulletin allows the manual download of the installer.

The revised MS06-015 will not be offered unless the PC needs it. If the PC
had the earlier version of MS06-015 installed, and does not need the extra
fixes in the revised version, the revised version will not be offered again.

"When the update is re-released, it's going to be very much targeted to
people who are having the problem, or people who have not installed MS06-015
yet. That means if you have already installed MS06-015 and are not having
the problem, there's no action here for you. Windows Update, Microsoft
Update, and Automatic Update will have detection logic built into them to
only offer the revised update (which essentially includes the reg key fix)
to those customers who either don't have MS06-015 or are having the
problem."
