On windows XP prof serv 2 .
Managed to do the updates after some problems with the connection. After
rebooting programs keep crashing. Like IE7, Firefox, YahooMessanger. No
error, just the window closes. I guess its something related with
explorer.exe because looks like having highly unusual CPU consumption. Did a
scan with Norton Antivirus and Spyware Doctor but it did not find anything.
Ant suggestion ?

You can view the Event logs to see what the errors are. Sounds like both
the System and Application Event logs would be useful.
Right click My Computer either on the Desktop or on the Start Menu and
choose Manage.
Click the plus sign next to Event Viewer to access the System and App
event logs.
Look for the red circle with a white X through it named Error under
Type. Firefox should be listed as an Application Error under Source .
Not sure if IE7's errors would be in System or Apps.
Double click the error to see more info and click the provided links for
any possible clues.

Did__you__check__the__Event__log__for__errors_?

Which updates were installed on the system ? Go to Add/Remove Programs
and check, please.

That's Dreamweaver version 4? Really? Me thinks, version 8 is the
actual one.

Anyhow, your problem doesn't seem to be related to any of those updates
directly. E.g. http://www.forum4designers.com/archi...-2-189123.html
describes the exact same problems but has been posted some time ago.
So please feel free to contact Macromedia/Adobe support and followup
with them, in case http://www.gthelp.com/showthread.php...075#post175075
doesn't help.

Bye,
Freudi
