Problems with outlook 2003 after installing windows updates today

Hi. Like many people, I always install updates the moment they show up in my
system tray. Today that was a mistake. The updates all installed correctly,
according to the system. However, once it reboothed, I could no longer attach
files to most MS outlook addresses, which rendered my e-mail useless since I
am always doing that in my line of work. Eventually, I uninstalled the
updates which included a security update for the sharepoint team services and
several security updates for XP. After I did this, my computer returned to
normal functionality.

I have never had this problem before so it was a bit distressing and took a
good bit of my day. Hopefully our friends at MS will figure out this bug.
Thanks!

John, I had the same problem today.

Uninstalled just KB913807, which had been automatically installed a month
ago and it fixed the problem. I then reinstalled KB913807 from a new
download and the problem is gone.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Bill, glad to know I was not alone. I tried your fix and
unfortunately, it did not work on my PC. My system is on XP Pro. Our other
computer is on home and accepted the updates without a hiccup. So it must be
conflicting with something we have on my PC. How I will every figure out what
is beyond me, though!!
:O
Anyway, thanks again for sharing that and have a great Easter weekend...

Regards,

John

I don't think you have any friends at Microsoft. They are the people who
create the problems so you can pay them more money to get it fixed.
