Hi,

I have tried a couple of times to send messages to my contact's mobile
device. However, it showed "This message was not sent because Mobile
Messaging is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." everytime I
sent it. Is there anyone able to figure it out?

Thanks.

Why are you thanking people for their patience? That's something people who
are responsible for a problem do. Are you a Microsoft apologist? Do you
work for Microsoft?

No, but I know that they wont get anything fixed if they continue responding
to support emails regarding mobile service problems.

I have reported the issue myself to the product team, and they are aware of
it, and they are fixing it. It should be up soon.

Yes. Because I'm sure that in such a small company like Microsoft, the guys
who answer support emails are the same ones who try to fix server issues.
So you're completely totally right. I'm sure.

Heck, looking at the original post, who said anything about support emails?

My, aren't we special. You should be an MVP, just for your similar
attributes.

Does anyone know if this was fixed? the Original post was back in October 06,
here we are April 07 and I to am getting the ...."This message was not sent
because Mobile Messaging is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
message too. The only difference is that I was using it and it was working
fine, then all of a sudden during a conversation it stoped working. I could
Receive msg's but i can't send them. If anyone has any idea what could be the
problem please post.
Thank you! =D

I have had a similar problem. Mobile texting was working fine then
suddenly stopped. The problem was that the the receiver's alert
settings were defaulting to their phone carriers default for
allowed alerts(messages) per month , which was 100. We adjusted
that number up and the messaging started working again.

To adjust, the receiver of the messages logs into
http://mobile.msn.com

then change alert delivery settings

and more!

Change MSN Alerts
Change alert quiet times
Change alert delivery settings <<<<<<<<<

Alert delivery settings
Configure the following settings to personalize how MSN Mobile
will deliver alerts to your device. Alert delivery

Use this option to turn alerts on or off.
On
Off

Long alerts
Choose what to do with alerts that are longer than your phone will
display.
Send what fits in one alert
Split into multiple alerts

Max messages per month
Choose the maximum number of messages you would like to receive
from MSN per month.
Use my carrier's default (100)
Send me up to messages per month. <<<<<<<<<<<<
