Hi Boys an Girls,

me an my friend want to share some files about the shared folder function of
windows live messenger. Since a week we got some trouble, nearly all files
dosn't share. On the statusbar is shown that the files synchronize but after
a few seconds the status jump to the next file without a synchinization. Some
files, most of them are smaller than 50kb, will be shared without problems.

Sometimes we delete the files on both pc's and they will return to the
shared folder.

Thanks for help

Greetings,

Out of curiosity, if you open the sharing folder, and choose the 'Activity log', does
everything appear normal there? Additionally, which kind of files are you trying to share?

Although this will depend on the problem, one quick fix you might try is removing your
Sharing Folder (be sure to move out any files you wish to keep before you do so) by clicking
the Tools menu (or pressing Alt-T on the keyboard if you have the menu hidden), then Options,
then Sharing Folders, click the contact in question and choose << Remove. Then have your
contact do the same and start a new sharing folder.

Thanks,

we try to remove the whole shared folder. At the time, we delete only the
content of the folder.

The log shown that some files be shared, but they aren't shared. And
sometimes the log shown that a file is synchronize but after a minute it the
entry will removed.

The file type's we want to share are different. We tested with images, zip,
rar, avi.
Some images are shared but the most of them was smaler than 50 kb.

Hi,

Just deleting the content won't do a lot, because of how it works.

Those file types should be fine.
