I recently read there were problems in compatability with
many online games, and messengers. Since I play alot of
games, I would want to install Service Pack 2. How would
I do this, or is that even an option? If not, what else
can I do?

If you have a broadband internet connection, go here to download Service
Pack 2 to your desktop. Simply click the Install button.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Then you can burn it to a CD and distribute it to anyone in your family who
needs it. Same with your friends and neighbors.

P.S. I play Medal of Honor Allied Assault online, and SP2 does not cause
one problem. I also use
Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger, and AOL Instant Messenger. No problem
with them either.

Joe,

Good Luck. I downloaded and installed Win SP2. Auctually my updates were
set to automatic so it downloaded on its own. When it installed my computer
had a MAJOR MELT DOWN! Could not even start the computer. Tried MS SP 2
removal utility and it got worse if you can believe that. Only solution was
to reload windows, Still have many problems after 3 - 18 hour days of
repairing.

This update is worse than the problem. I Strongly suggest giving MS time to
get the bugs out of the bug fix before installing it.
