problems streaming audio stream using WMP11 in vista

for some strange reason WMP has decided to quit streaming mp3 and audio feeds
from coasttocoastam. when I try it tells me that it doesnot have the required
codec and provides a close button or web help button. I know that wmp11 is
imbedded in vista and cannot be repaired or reinstalled. i need to know how
to get the corrupted files or registry entries re-associated with WMP. any
help would be great.
