Problems uninstalling in Vista

My Acer portable came with something called 'NTI CD & DVD -Maker 7'
pre-installed (as was Vista Business). I have no (re-)installation disk
for it

When I tried to run the NTI software, it said it was corrupted -- could
I try to re-install? As I cannot not re-install, I decided to uninstall
it. Alas, same problem - cannot uninstall (somenthing is corrupted).

Question - Is there some way I can force the uninstallation of this
program ? (If I just elete the program directory - I am assuming this
may produce instability elesewhere.)

Thanks H, brilliant suggestion. Installed the trial version over the
corrupt version, uninstalled it OK - and all is well.
