problems with windows live messenger,

I can not seem to make the new WINDOWS LIVE work for me.. My computer checks
out FINE with both audio and video.. Web Cam Freezes periodically, and a
terrible " SNOW " like static thru the headphones. It started with the NEW
YAHOO 8.0 and I got tired of it and tried Windows LIVE,, and it was fine for
about 6 days. Now, Windows has it too. Ive deleted, redownloaded, till I'm
blue in the face.. nothing seems to help.. Time of day or length of call,
makes no difference. When it does work, its very good, but thats not very
long. My computer is less than 2 yrs old and I'm running XP home edition.
Its been checked out by two different computer technicians and both give me a
clean bill of health. Does anyone know if the older version of msn messenger
is still available before all the new changes and if so,,, how and where do i
go to get it BACK... Yahoo was better with the older version also... only an
occasional strobing of the web cam but never a problem with the audio, as
there is now.. Any Suggestions on what the problem might be or any
information on getting the older version ( s) of Both ,,,Back will be
greatly appreciated.. Thanks for your time and hopefully your help..

I dont think that has anything to do with the messengers..

Seems to me more like a problem with your drivers or something...
