hello is anyone else having problems with windows vista? My computer stays
screwed up since i bought it. It doesnt work well with McAfee security. Does
anyone know how i can get it to work right. It wont come out of safe mode or
let me sign on to the internet. Is there a way we can switch back to windows
XP even though my computer came with Vista.

Hi Kaylee,

Try uninstalling McAfee completely to see if that will help you. There
will most likely be more than one listing for McAfee in Programs and
Features uninstall area.

If you have a XP installation DVD, then you can boot from that DVD and
format your hard drive and proceed with the XP install.

You couldn't pay me to use McAffe or Norton on Xp or Vista, look at the
firewall ratings section on this page.

http://www.matousec.com/projects/win...ts-results.php

I've been using Comodo firewall and Avast antivirus (both free) on Xp for
quite awhile with good results but I don't think there is a Vista compatible
version of Comodo out yet. I've seen good reviews of Kaspersky for a paid
Vista compatible security suite.

Hi Jonathon,

I hope you do not have any problems, but there have been way to mant
people that had problems with McAfee and Norton. Sometimes it did not
hit them until some time later. I hope they do update their software,
but for now, I would avoid them like the plague.
