Problems with Windows Vista SP1

Hi,
I've a Inspiron 1520 with Windows Vista Home Premium. When windows update
installed windows vista SP1, my PC doesn't work!!!!
The windows system crashed already. At the screen appears the error message
that give as options "star windows normally" and "star windows in repair
mode" , but it doesn't matter with one i select, it doesn't work. Can anyone
help me or give me a suggestion?
