I installed on a new hard drive last night, complete with format, and get to
past the three updates in dec, but now cannot get updates because it says I
need to activate.
Well, I can't activate because it says I have exceeded max activation,
obviously due to many repairs over the last two weeks.
It says I need a new key.
Well, a new key will screw me even worse because it is going to take me
months to set up my machine the way I need it and get all my programs
installed and properly set up.
Months because I work 80+ hours a week, primarily, but also because I have a
lot of software.
Therefore, I need to have my two drives on same activation key until I am
completely finished and satisfied with the results.
I also need to have the old one working in case of a problem with the new
one.
What am I supposed to do?
Even if this works, I still expect to see a solution for the original
problem of updates breaking permissions on my registry and system files and
may want to keep my old drive instead of the new.
Thanks
