Profile migration

Hi - I have a need to migrate a users profile on a Vista machine to a new
profile on the same machine.

Old user: corp\first.last
New user: corp\first.last

The users have different SIDs (don't ask, it was a mistake but it's done
now) - so the new user shows up in docs and settings as first.last.CORP.

I need to migrate the settings from the old SID account to the new SID
account without losing anything. Any help?

Windows Easy Transfer. Log on as the old user, save files and settings, log
on as the new user, transfer files and settings back.

Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off. invader@nospamforme.com Windows Vista General Discussion 1 11-01-2007 05:25 PM
