Program Compatibility Assistant won't go away

I tried to download ZoneAlarm (for Vista), but the Program Compatibility
Assistant blocked it. Now I can't get rid of the error message. It keeps
popping back up. I've uninstalled ZoneAlarm and rebooted, and then there the
message is again. Like some horror movie. Can anyone help? Tks.

Thanks Pete. I had been hoping not to have to do that. As it turns out, after
the 3rd reboot, the problem went away. Thanks again.
