I just got the wonderful new Windows Vista. I love everything about it but
that I can't get alot of my old programs to run properly. And many of the
programs that I download off the internet will not open at all! I tried doing
everything that I was told to do. The Compatibility Wizard was very
convenient but sadly it didn't solve my problem. I had this problem recently
with my iTunes but Apple updated their product. My main problem is with
internet based products and those downloaded and saved from the internet. The
Wizard does not give an option for internet programs. How would I solve this
problem?

You do have a choice with downloaded programs from the internet.

When you download, save them to the desktop; right-click on their setup.exe,
select properties, then compatibility mode, XP SP2, etc.

It works fine for me.
