Program internal settings revert

Hello,

I keep having the following occur:

- Start a program (an application)
- Open "options" in menu and change a setting, click "apply" and "ok".
- Close program.

- Open the same program.
- Setting is back to its original default (i.e. as if I had not changed it)

NOTE:

- I am running as "secret super administrator" account
- I right-click on "run as administrator" to run the program
- UAC is disabled, even Windows Defender is temporarily disabled
- Vista Home Basic is the OS

Some programs do not encounter this, some do.

And for one program, the reverting only occurs after reboot, and some times not
on every reboot.

It seems like this is related to the registry, as I have one app that uses an
".ini" file instead of the registry, and settings save fine with that one.

i am having the same problem but i dont know if u r running 32 bit or 64
bit but i am running 64 bit vista ultimate and the problem only started
this week, have u found a fix for this yet?
