MS updates normally creates a restore point before installing, use system
restore to restore to the point prior to updates. See if that fixes problem.
Then reinstall those that do not interfere.
Also I would set MS updates to download updates but allow you to install,
then you will be able have control what updates are installed and be more
aware if they cause a problem.
I realize that this may be inconvienient but unfortunately some updates are
causing problem for some but not others.
